Homemade Nutella Hazelnut and Chocolate Spread a Baby Bear Hugs Recipe
2 cups Hazel Nuts
1 1/2 cups Dark Chocolate Chips
2 Tbl Canola Oil
3 Tbl Hershey Cocoa
1 Tbl Vanilla Extract
3 Tbl Brown Sugar
Toast your Hazelnuts in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes or until you start to see the skins darkening. Put them in your BlendTech blender or your food processor and pulse until they are broken into small pieces.
Melt your chocolate chips and add all ingredients in together with your hazelnuts and blend again. You will want to mix until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is looking dry, add a few more tablespoons of canola oil. If their are chunks of nuts left, then you may want to strain them out (we are OK with some chunks left so you know it was homemade). Store in airtight container in a cool dry location.
